Ray Tozer – Head Coach for Penrith Baseball Club

The Penrith Baseball Club would like to announce Ray Tozer as our State League Head Coach for the 2019/20 season.

Ray has been part of our State League squad since 2011, including being part of the back to back championship winning teams in the 2014/15 & 2015/16 seasons. While playing with Penrith, he won the club MVP in the 2016/17 season, and the club batting award in the 2014/15 & 2016/17 seasons.

He has also recently been part of our State League coaching structure, coaching the 2nd Grade teams in last few seasons, as well as coaching in our juniors for many seasons.

Ray is looking forward to taking the next step in his coaching pathway and is excited at the challenge it will bring.

‘I feel honoured and excited to take on the Head Coach role here at Penrith. It will be tough challenge, but with hard work and the right strategies, I can see better and brighter things for the club. I also want to thank Alex Johnson, for the work he has put in for the last 2 seasons, and for laying the foundation for the club to build upon’.

Along side the appointment of Ray, Penrith are also announcing that the roles for all other coaching positions are available. If interested, please email headcoach@penrithbaseball.com.au with a brief playing/coaching history, and for which role you are interested in. Please submit all expressions of interest by Friday the 5th of July.
